I made these gumpaste toppers twice! I had a week in advance to make them so I had a lot of lead time. Unfortunately, the weather was not so friendly so the humidity destroyed everything I made. I initially made a baby sitting upright and I was horrified to find it's head falling off. I had to redo all my design plans and make everything all over again! I can truly say experience is the best teacher for novices like me. When I attended the Cake Deco Expo in Manila last February I was able to ask for some tips on making gumpaste figures and how to store them from the master Chef Penk Ching.
