I saw the Wilton USA ad and got excited but there was no way I could afford a 3500 Peso ticket just to attend a one-day cake decorating event in Manila. I entered the contest telling myself that if I'd win I'll definitely go. I got the shock of my life when I was informed that I won! There were more than seven hundred entries and only 20 seats were being given away so I guess I was really fated to go and attend the event.
I came early so I was able attend Penk Ching's demo. I was also lucky enough to ask her some questions about how to deal with the humidity when making fondant and gumpaste figures. I was starstruck!
I also had a chance to approach and talk to the Wilton School USA Director Ms.Sandy Folsom.
I also attended the color flow icing demo with Chef Heny Sison.
